This is an idea I had yesterday, while in my car. I thought I'd see if I could mount my tripod, such that I could take some photos over my shoulder. I ended up wedging the two fronts legs between the transmission tunnel and the seat backs, with the third leg extended, so that it was pushed into the rear seat back. It ended up being quite solid .

Anyway, it's the same tunnel as in my last two tunnel shots, but this one turned out a lot smoother (for obvious reasons). I took a couple of 0.5 second exposure shots with the SLR too, so we'll see how they turn out. (This was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 775, for those who don't know my equipment.) I still love the orange light in those tunnels. Things I'll change should I do this again: clean the windscreen properly, dim the dashboard lights a bit (they're too bright for my liking) and time my run so there are no cars in front of me.
